We design the PGDHE for individuals who desire to teach or are currently teaching in higher education institutions.
The Rastogi Committee on Higher Education Instructors adopted the PGDHE, which the National Policy on Education (1986) recommended. The UGC recognized the PGDHE as comparable to an Orientation Programme and two Refresher Courses of the Academic Staff College. The PGDHE has a duration of one year.
We have redesigned and updated the Programme, with the new edition available since January 2004.
