It is the course in your programme that is assessed on a study you plan, research and write up yourself, in place of a term-end paper. The July 2026 Common Prospectus lists these as project, dissertation, internship or field project courses carrying 2 to 16 credits.

To the office your course names. Under MMPP-001, BMPP-001 and MCSP-232 it goes to the Regional Director of your Regional Centre; an MLIP-002 synopsis goes to the Programme Coordinator, MLIS, at SOSS in Maidan Garhi. The online project portal does not accept a synopsis on its own.
Your course's guidelines set the rule, so read them first. Under MMPP-001, for example, a guide can supervise not more than five students at a time, and the guide's bio-data goes with your synopsis, signed in original, unless the guide is an approved academic counsellor of the Management Programme.
Under MMPP-001: a revised proposal, a fresh proforma, a copy of the rejected proposal with the evaluator's comments, and the PP number. Other courses set their own list, so check your guidelines.
The figure belongs to your course: about 50 to 60 double-spaced pages and not more than about 18,000 words for MMPP-001, about 60 to 80 pages for BMPP-001, about 100 to 125 single-spaced pages of documentation for MCSP-232, and no limit in the 2022 MLIS guide.
Rs 300 for a project course of up to 4 credits and Rs 500 above, paid with the Term-End Examination form, for learners admitted from the January 2023 cycle (Common Prospectus July 2026, page 27). This is IGNOU's fee, not ours.
Status is shown on IGNOU's student pages against your enrolment number. If it has not changed for several weeks, write to your Regional Centre and quote that number.

Synopsis correction is Rs 1,000 and project report correction Rs 2,000. Topic and methodology help, questionnaire and data analysis help and guide guidance are quoted on WhatsApp, and formatting, printing and binding is quoted by page count. Help books cost Rs 249 or Rs 99, guess papers and solved papers Rs 49 or Rs 100, and solved assignments Rs 19 per subject. The full list is on our About page.

Corrected files come back to you as files, with every change marked. Printed and hard-bound copies go by Delhivery speed post to your address. Solved assignments come as a PDF on WhatsApp, usually the same day.

No. IGNOU's evaluator decides whether a synopsis is approved and what a report earns. We check your work against your course's guidelines; you remain the author of your synopsis and report.
No. They are reference answers for study. Write your own answers for submission.
Your drafts, data and enrolment details stay with the team working on your file. We never reuse one student's data, synopsis or report for another.
